I am not a basketball scout for the Dallas Mavericks nor do I play one on TV, but it doesn't take one to see the athleticism of new Dallas Mavericks center Ryan Hollins.

Last night, in his first game wearing a Mavericks uniform and just after checking into the game, Hollins showed his high flying ability with an authoritative back door alley-oop dunk.

The above picture shows him getting fouled on another high flying baseline dunk in the second half. The ball ricocheted off the back of the rim and landed in about the fourth row of the stands. Unfortunately, the foul was not called and the high-flying/eyes-level-with-the-rim/elbows-above-the rim move was nothing more than a missed shot attempt.

Hollins definitely has “lift-off” and Mavericks fans everywhere should have as hopes as high as his hops for Hollins Mavericks future.

Obviously, the sky is not the limit.

I have not seen a Maverick center attack the Rim like this kid ...ever!
We have to find a way to work that play into our standard Offensive set.
At least until someone stops it!
