When I say that 'Jason Terry is probably the nicest guy you will ever meet!' it is not just a figure of speech.

Seriously, the dude is embarrasingly nice. He is Steve Nash nice. Heck, he is Santa Claus nice. No, lets get closer to the point, he is Mother Theresa nice but with a better smile and more range on his jumper.

So this afternoon, for the second year in a row, Jason delivered winter coats to the homeless in a shelter near Deep Ellum in Downtown Dallas. The shelter known as the The Bridge had a line so long to get blankets and coats that you might have mistaken if for a Guster or Better than Erza concert at the Gyspy Tea Room.

"It's getting cold out there and these people need to keep warm!" states Jason to a television reporter at Fox Sports Net. "This is my second year doing this and before me, Micheal Finley, did it. So when I heard that it needed to be continued I was definately on board!"

JET and the Mavericks take on the Los Angeles Clippers tomorrow night at the American Airlines Center. Hopefully, tomorrow he won't have to pass out coats to keep everyone warm - he can just heat up the building with his scorching hot shooting.

We tried to contact the radio folks on this site and connect with them: we were going to give a FREE Mavericks Mafia T-shirt to everyone who donated to JET's coat drive---- but they never got back with me on that.... He does a great thing with this and it IS cold!

That’s what the NBA needs more of, people like JET! I wonder if he buys all of the coat himself-- if he does I'm sure they're tax deductable-- Back to the point, if more NBA players, or people of wealth in general help those in need I think the world would be a better place- not to sound mushy or anything. The fact is, though its not an obligation for anyone to share any of their hard earned money, ideally if those of wealth did do that- at least for those with dire need- than the world would be in a much better economic position than it is now...

In sum... Thanks Jet, on behalf of all the warm less fortunate people out there...
