The Kings attempted to prolong the obvious as they took a time out with just over a second to spare on the clock however no matter the fate of their open three at the end of play they could not overcome the Mavs dominance down the stretch in the 104-102 win at the AAC.

It was a much closer game than many could have speculated as shooting again was a struggle for the Mavs, still by game end they were able to pull it together and conclude with 45.6% from the floor as they took advantage of 21 Sacramento turnovers resulting in 24 Mavs points. Sacramento, who had committed some 40 turnovers in the previous two were still left without answers to what seems to be their biggest flaw on the court.

Again the Mavs were short handed in play after another game day decision to bench Marion left the Mavs with only 9 suited players. It was enough to dish the damage however as Dallas capped play with 5 players in double-digits as Dirk Nowitzki, following his night of 41 against the Spurs was able to take a scoring breather hitting 20 for the night alongside Jason Terry.

Depth was the theme as the Mavs bench outscored Sacramento 52 to 14. Alongside Terry Kris Humphries dominated from the bench with 15 working into the line up for 23 minutes with 10 points to get the Mavs rolling in the first half alone.

Jason Kidd concluded with 15, Tim Thomas hit for 11 and Drew Gooden fell one shy of yet another double double with 9 points and 16 dynamic rebounds.
